Breakfast meeting: Strategies for Responsible Investing on a global and Norwegian level
The financial services sector plays a fundamental role in the transition to a sustainable future. On this occasion we are happy to present Vaska Atta-Darkua from Cambridge University and Annie Bersagel, who will both speak about responsible investing, on a global and Norwegian level, respectively. Atta-Darkua will elaborate on the emerging academic evidence in the field of responsible investments, while Bersagel will look at the state of play in the Norwegian market.
Vaska Atta-Darkua, University of Cambridge
Vaska is a PhD in Finance Candidate av Judge Business School, University of Cambridge and an incoming Postdoctoral Researcher at the Centre for Endowment Asset Management, University of Cambridge. She conducts reseach on asset management ESG topics, currently focusing on negative portfolio screenings. Vaska holds a BSc in international Economics from the University of Essex and an MPhil in Finance from Cambridge Judge Business School. Prior to returning to full time education for her MPhil and PhD degrees, Vaska spent four years as an econometrics consultant in London.
Annie Bersagel, Folketrygdfondet
Annie Bersagel is the Portfolio Manager ESG at Folketrygdfondet, the manager of the Norwegian Government Pension Fund – Norway. As a member of the equities team, she is responsible for conducting ESG analysis and for engaging in active ownership with Folketrygdfondet’s portfolio companies. Bersagel worked previously at KLP Kapitalforvaltning. She holds a juris doctorate degree from Stanford Law School, AFA/executive MBA in finance from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH), MPhil in peace and conflict studies from the University of Oslo, and bachelor of arts in economics and political science from Wake Forest University. Bersagel previously competed as a professional marathon runner for Under Armour.
